Completing the self-reference
The first step in the process is to complete the Crosschq self-reference. This is the same survey that references will complete, and it's the candidate's chance to provide the potential future employer with some really important information as well.
At Crosschq, the self-reference serves as a critical opportunity to highlight a candidate's strengths, areas of growth, and key insights about what it's like to work with them. The self-reference should take only about 5-10 minutes to complete.
You will find the reference request within your candidate locker. Access the request and simply click the Take the survey button to launch the survey page.
(To ensure a seamless process for candidates, we've implemented clear guidelines for the reuse of self-reference answers. This comes in handy if you send an additional Crosschq request to a candidate or if another company you are applying for a job with also uses the platform. Our established thresholds dictate that for self-reference answers, a minimum match of 50% between the current and previous surveys is required for reuse. Candidates are permitted to reuse their answers if this criterion is met.
