Lookback period & Moderators

Learn about the Lookback period and moderators for your QoH model.

Lookback period

The lookback period refers to the span of time for which a company has collected and maintained data on its candidates and employees. This data can include application details, employment history, performance metrics, and any other relevant information tracked over time.

A longer lookback period allows our system to analyze trends, behaviors, and patterns over a more extended timeline, leading to more accurate and insightful Quality of Hire (QoH) metrics.

Crosschq suggests having a lookback period of at least 12 months, with an optimal range of 24-36 months for better analysis.

To get the most out of our platform, it’s essential to have as extensive a lookback period as possible. Here are a few tips:

  • Integrate Legacy Data: If you have historical data stored in other systems, consider integrating it into our platform to enhance the lookback period.
  • Consistent Data Collection: Ensure continuous and consistent data collection practices. Regular updates to employee and candidate profiles will enrich the data pool over time.
  • Data Quality: While quantity is important, quality matters just as much. Ensure that the data being collected is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant.

Moderators

Moderators refer to the descriptive employee and candidate information that enable the filtering, segmentation, and in-depth analysis of Quality of Hire (QoH) within Crosschq Insights.

A moderator defines an employee population and can be considered an influencer and predictor of QoH.

Here are some examples of information that can be considered a moderator:
